I began my legal career as a public interest attorney in 2003. I worked at a nonprofit called Positive Resource Center “PRC” where I represented folks on their disability claims and health insurance.

In 2009, I became the Legal Director of PRC. My new job was to train new attorneys and supervise the legal team. There was a lot of administrative work too. Over the years, I have represented and supervised over thousands of disability claims.

From 2014 to 2019, the last few years of my tenure at PRC, I collaborated with governments and foundations to implement new social services. I designed social programs to help people access income + housing.

I was born in Hong Kong and am a native Cantonese speaker.

I graduated from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2002 and UC Berkeley in 1997. My bachelor’s degree was in Anthropology (I loved primates and human evolution).
